Thomas Nicholas Sr., 86, Manager For Westport Auto Dealership

CENTERVILLE, Mass. - Thomas Nicholas Sr. of Centerville, formerly of Trumbull, Conn., died Jan. 17. He was 86.

Nicholas was born Sept. 14, 1927, in Korce, Albania, to Naum and Polikseni Shtika Nicholas. He attended public schools and played football at Harding High, Class of 1945. He attended Brown University on a football scholarship and was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity, graduating in 1949. He became a master mason in 1951. He worked for GMAC as manager of an auto dealership in Westport, Conn., and then at Borden Dairy Co.

Nicholas is survived by his sons, Tom, Jr. (Lisa) of Shelton, Conn., Paul (Kelli) of Colchester, Conn.; daughter, Susanne Wilson (Michael); six grandchildren; sister, Dolores Tait of Scarborough, Maine; and many nieces, nephews and in-laws. He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Marion Dionis; and sister, Freida Andon.

Calling hours are Thursday, Jan. 23, from 9 a.m. until the time of service in St. George Albanian Orthodox Church, 5490 Main St., Trumbull. Services will be held Thursday, Jan. 23, at 11 a.m. in St. George Albanian Orthodox Church with Archpriest Dennis Rhodes officiating, followed by interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. George Church.
