WESTPORT, Conn. - Swan Yuan of Westport died Wednesday,July 23. He was 88.
Yuan was born Aug. 12, 1925, in Ningbo, China, and has been a resident of Westport for over 20 years. Prior to retiring, he was a textile garment executive in the clothing manufacturing industry in Hong Kong. He was a graduate of Shanghai Baptist University in China with a textile chemistry degree.
Yuan is survived by his wife, Helen (Kao) Yuan; sons, Dr. Andrew Yuan (Sieglinde) of Fairfield and Jim Yuan (Sharon) of Westport; and four grandchildren.
Calling hours are Saturday, July 26 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Harding Funeral Home, 210 Post Road. East, Westport. Interment will be private.
