OLD SAYBROOK, Conn. - Sue K. Johnson, of Old Saybrook and formerly of Westport, died July 29. She was 73.
Johnson was born Nov. 3, 1939, in Chicago, daughter of Frank and Sophie Kapanowski. She attended Loyola University in Chicago. After her marriage she settled with her family in Westport where they lived for more than 30 years. She later settled in Old Saybrook. She was a member, and former president of the Westport Young Women’s League. She was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Church in Westbrook.
Johnson is survived by her children, Kurt V. Johnson (Karen) of Groton, Mass., Kristen K. Johnson of New York, N.Y.; two grandchildren; brother, Frank Kapp (Gail) of Collierville, Tenn.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; and husband, Warren W. Johnson.
Calling hours are Friday, Aug. 2 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Swan Funeral Home, 1224 Boston Post Road, Old Saybrook. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3 at St. Mark the Evangelist Church in Westbrook.
