EASTON, Conn. Ruth K. Foster of Easton died Wednesday, June 27, at her home. She was 88.
The daughter of Charles and Hedwig Killian, she was married to the late Stuart J. Foster for 52 years. Foster was a charter member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Trumbull.
She worked at General Electric in Bridgeport for several years. Foster later worked with many of her friends at Erickson Industries in Stratford.
Along with her late sister, Shirley, and their husbands, Foster enjoyed frequent vacations to Europe and the Caribbean. A resident of Easton for almost 50 years, she especially enjoyed hosting family events, birthday parties and holiday dinners.
Foster is survived by two sons, David S. Foster, of Shelton, Conn., and Jaime C. (Eleonora) Foster, of Southbury, Conn.; two brothers, Robert C. Killian, of Trumbull, and Carl E. (Ruth Ann) Killian, of Maryland; a sister, Arlene K. (Robert) Burgess, of Easton; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 7, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Trumbull. There are no calling hours. Oak Grove in West Haven is handling arrangements.
