BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - Richard Russell of Bridgeport, formerly of Westport, died Nov. 20. He was 92.
Russell was born Oct. 4, 1921, in Arlington Mass., and resided in Westport and Bridgeport for more than 50 years. A graduate of the Governor Dummer Academy, he attended Colby College prior to serving in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II. He was later employed by the Baird Associates, Perkin Elmer, Mine Safety Appliances and, along with his sons, a founding partner of Walker Wellington, LLC.
Russell is survived by his children, Richard W Russell Jr. (Jeanne B.l) of Eliot Maine; Charles F Russell (Jeri) of Walnut Creek Calif., and Henry W Russell of Kittery Maine; and two grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Marjorie Freeman Russell.
A private service will be held at Mt Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, Mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
