WESTPORT, Conn. - Midge (Jane Smith) Lanouette of Westport died Tuesday, Nov. 11. She was 89.
Lanouette was born Sept. 6, 1925, in Glasgow, Montana, and spent her childhood in Vermont and Queens, N.Y. She graduated from the University of Vermont. After her marriage she lived in Colorado for a brief time, and spent two years living in Japan before settling in Westport, where she raised her family. She was a religious education teacher at The Unitarian Church in Westport for years.
Lanouette is survived by her husband, Ken; daughters, Caron Lanouette and Jennine Lanouette and her partner Ed DeRosis; son-in-law, Peter Delloro; two grandsons; sister-in-law, Doree Epstein; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, Nov. 29 at 2 p.m. with a reception to follow at The Unitarian Church of Westport, 10 Lyons Plains Road, Westport.
