EASTON, Conn. - Laura Mazzucco Prizio of Easton died Aug. 27. She was 65.

Prizio was born Aug. 7, 1948, in Bridgeport, to Dominic and Josephine Razzini Mazzucco. She attended elementary school, high school and college in Bridgeport. She graduated from Central High School in 1966 and attended the University of Bridgeport to pursue a dual curriculum in business and education. She then began her career at General Electric where she was employed for 42 years. She retired from her position as project manager in Corporate Marketing in 2008. While working at GE, she was a member of the Quarter Century Club, and the Elfun Society. She attended Notre Dame of Easton Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Council.

Prizio is survived by her husband, Pete; son, Peter D. Prizio (Lori) of Easton; a granddaughter; sister, Angela Dougiello (Ronald) of Easton; brother-in-law, Mario Merena (late Margaret); sister-in-law, Irene Prizio (Salvatore) of Glastonbury; many nieces nephews: and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents.

Calling hours are Friday, Aug. 30  from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main St., Bridgeport (on the Trumbull Line). Friends are invited at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31 to go directly to Notre Dame of Easton Church, 655 Morehouse Road, Easton, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated followed by entombment in Oaklawn Cemetery, Fairfield.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Swim Across the Sound c/o St. Vincent's Hospital.
