EASTON, Conn. – Joseph C. Stonoha, 94, of Easton, husband of Jeanne Donady Stonoha, died Saturday, Oct. 24.
Born in Bridgeport on March 2, 1921, he was a son of Michael and Anna Kubina Stonoha.
A U.S. Navy veteran, he was a retired pumper engineer for the City of Bridgeport Fire Department, with 39 years of service. He was a member of the Bridgeport Area Retired Firefighters and was a parishioner of the Jesse Lee United Methodist Church of Easton.
In addition to his wife of 59 years, Jeanne, survivors include three children, Mary Ann Stonoha of Greenville, South Carolina; Joseph R. Stonoha (Susan) of Fairfield; and Thomas G. Stonoha of Milford; four grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by all of his brothers and sisters.
Relatives and friends may greet the family Thursday from 4-8 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Funeral services will take place Friday at 11 a.m. directly in the Jesse Lee United Methodist Church, 25 Flat Rock Road, Easton. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
