Buchta was born in Norwalk, to Frederick and Elizabeth (Hogan) Buchta. He was the proprietor of Klein's Printing Company of Westport for more than 30 years. He was also a member of the Printing Industry of Connecticut and a former member of the Sunrise Rotary Club in Westport.
Buchta is survived by his wife, Rosemary (Pedwano) Buchta of Shelton; daughters, Karen Martin (Edward) of Cheshire and Jennifer Meyers (Steven) of Oxford; twin brother, James Buchta (Concetta) of Norwalk; sister, Frances Manere (Robert) of Weston; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30 at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 220 Shelton Road, Trumbull. Interment will be private in St. Mary's Cemetery Greenwich.
