Jerry Aiello, 93, Former Westport Resident, Musician

SARASOTA, Fla. - Jerry Aiello of Sarasota, formerly of Westport, Conn., died Tuesday, May 6. He was 93.

Aiello was born in Bridgeport, and was the son of Frank and Adeline Aiello. He had been an area resident for most of his life prior to moving to Florida. He was a musician and played in numerous big bands and travelled the world. He later taught music locally.

Aiello is survived by his wife, Josephine; and daughter, Paula Aiello of Sarasota.

There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, May 12 at 9 a.m. in St. Augustine Cathedral, 359 Washington Ave., Bridgeport. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford.
