WESTPORT, Conn. – Jeffrey Rollins Pinyan, a longtime Westport resident, died Nov. 15 at his home in San Diego. He was 58.
Born Aug. 21, 1954, in Seattle, he moved to Westport with his family in the early 1960s. He attended Westport schools and graduated from Staples High School in 1973 and Central Connecticut State University in 1977 with a bachelor’s degree in business.
Pinyan lived in San Diego for the past 25 years and worked as an area manager for Meridian Leasing Corp. He spent countless hours as a volunteer involved in his children’s activities and in support to local sports programs in North County San Diego, his family said.
He is survived by his father, John Pinyan; his wife, Leslie; two daughters, Krista and Brooke; a son, Blake; a brother, Greg; five sisters, Lynn, Melody, Mary, Sue and Jackie; and 13 nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his mother, Carol Ann Pinyan, in 1971.
A memorial service will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Blu Parrot Restaurant in Westport.
