Jean Rabin, 79, Formerly Of Westport

TRUMBULL, Conn. -- Jean Rabin, 79, of Trumbull, formerly of Westport, died Friday, Oct. 2.

She was the owner for many years of Record and Tape of Westport in the Compo Shopping Center. 

She leaves behind her husband Monte Rabin, and her children, daughter Lynne Huffines and her partner Diane Sanford of Fairfield, daughter Dianne Teitelbaum and her husband Paul Teitelbaum of Norcross, Ga., stepson Mitchell Rabin and his wife Sharmilla of Manhattan, N.Y., and stepdaughter Ronni Katz and her husband Matthew of Israel, formerly of New Haven.

She also leaves behind a sister Dawn Witherow and her husband John of Tennessee and was predeceased by sister Marie Baker and brother James Mize. 

She had seven grandchildren, Kimberly Caplin, Heather Trujillo, Erica Malcom, Neil Teitelbalum, Alexamdra Rosen, Hannah and Sophia Katz, four great-grandchildren, Lily and Emma Caplin, Tyler Trujillo and Carter Malcom, six nieces and nephews and many friends. 

Cremation is under the care of the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 S. Benson Road, Fairfield. 

Calling hours are from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Spear-Miller. 

A memorial service will be held at Greens Farms Congregational Church in Westport on Friday at 1 p.m..
