TUSCON, Ariz. - Jane Vogler formerly of Westport died Sept. 2. She was 54.

Vogler was born March 24, 1959, in Schenectady, N.Y., to Marilou and Clarence Vogler. She was raised in New Canaan and in Westport. She graduated from Staples High School in 1977. She then studied Fine Arts at the University of Connecticut in Hartford and at the Museum School in Boston, worked in Boston, Longmont Colo., and Riviera Beach Fla. She graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y., in 1992, and  worked as a chef in New York City, Westport, White Haven, Pa., and other locales.

Vogler is survived by her sisters, Mary, Beth, and Anne; brother, Daniel; sister-in-law, Lisa; nephews and niece; brother-in-law, Carlos DelValle; cousins; aunt, Phyllis Murrin of Santa Rosa, Calif.; She was predeceased by her parents.

Funeral arrangements are private.

A memorial scholarship has been established in Jane's name at the Culinary Institute of America, Office of Advancement, 1946 Campus Drive, Hyde Park, NY, 12538. Indicate on any contributions: "Jane Vogler Memorial Scholarship Fund."
