James E. Myer Jr., 58, Lifelong Westport Resident, Antique Dealer

WESTPORT, Conn. - James E. Myer Jr., a lifelong resident of Westport, died Saturday, Nov. 1. He was 58.

Myer was born July 12, 1956, to James and Evelyn Myer. He was a Staples High School graduate, attended Norwich University and served on the Westport Fire Department for 30 years, the Westport Police Department, was a well known antique dealer and former RTM member.

Myer is survived by his wife, Laura H. Myer of Westport; son, John Myer of Milford; daughter, Ashleigh Myer of Greenwich; four brothers; and a sister. He was predeceased by his parents.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7 meeting directly at St. Luke Church, 49 North Turkey Hill Road, Westport, for a Mass of Christian Burial, interment at Willowbrook Cemetery, with reception to follow immediately.
