WESTPORT, Conn. - Ingrid E. Gilbertie, a resident of Westport and a native of Wilton, died Tuesday, Nov. 11. She was 71.
Gilbertie grew up in Wilton and lived in Westport for the past 49 years. She was the owner and operator of Bargain Boutique of Fairfield and Browsers Nook of Norwalk for over 20 years, and had also worked for Settlers and Traders of Westport.
Gilbertie is survived by her husband, Ralph; sons, Michael R. Gilbertie (Betsy) of Westport and Ralph J. Gilbertie, Jr. (Victoria) of Stratford; daughters, Amy M. Gilbertie of Westport and Kristina J. Gilbertie (partner, Jeri) of Bloomfield; brother, Edward Hardy of Monroe; sisters, Signe Miller of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Kari Barrett of Dallas; and six grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Sandra Hardy.
Services will be private.
Contributions may be made in Gilbertie’s memory to the National Kidney Foundation.
Arrangements are in the care of County Cremation Service of Fairfield.
