George Moreo, 60, Of Westport; Worked For Data Display Systems

WESTPORT, Conn. -- George Moreo, 60, of Westport, died on Monday, Dec. 29, at Norwalk Hospital.

Moreo was born Dec. 10, 1954 in Queens, N.Y. and was the son of the late Thomas and Grace (Rotchford) Moreo.

He was a graduate of the Pratt Institute and was able to explore the world through many different opportunities. He was the Director of Visual Merchandising for Data Display Systems. He lived in Westport for 24 years and was a member of Assumption Church and coached Westport Youth Soccer for many years.

George was an avid boater, fisherman, a lover of the arts, and loved the sport of volleyball.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Dorette; son Dillon of Westport; daughter; Nicole Moreo of New York; brother Dominick Moreo of Hampton Bay, N.Y. and sisters Laura Amara of Palm Beach, Fla., Ellen Accardi of Garden City N.Y., and Grace Hamilton of Tampa, Fla. and many nieces and nephews.

The  funeral will be on Saturday, Jan. 3 at 11 a.m. at Assumption Church 98 Riverside Ave. Westport, for a Mass of Christian Burial. The family will receive friends in the Harding Funeral Home 210 Post Road East, Westport on Friday Jan. 2, 2014, from 4 to 8 p.m.. Condolences may be left online at www.hardingfuneral.com.
