Edward Muller, 76, of Westport

WESTPORT, Conn. – Edward M. Muller of Westport died Wednesday, June 27, with family by his side. He was 76. 

A native of Scotland, Muller moved to New York in 1952 and relocated to Westport in 1980. He studied science at Cooper Union and received an MBA from New York University. Muller worked with Halcon and Metabolix. He was married to Jane Muller, who survives him. 

In addition, he is survived by two daughters, Gwyneth Muller, of Manhattan, and Lara Muller, and her fiance, Seth Estep, of Alexandria, Va. He was predeceased by his mother, Catherine MacKay. 

Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home in Fairfield Center. Burial will be private. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Chemical Society, 1155 16th St. NW, Washington, D.C. 20036.
