Carole L. Haber, 72, Of Westport

WESTPORT, Conn. - Carole L. Haber of Westport died Nov. 28. She was 72.

Haber was born and raised in Downey, Calif., to Alfred and Marguerite Deitricht Senechal. She received her bachelor of arts and teaching credentials from the University of California. She was a French teacher in Palos Verdes High School for five years. She and her family lived in Los Angeles and Malibu for 50 years.

In 1995, they moved to Westport to take a greater part of the international humanitarian organization, Save the Children. In 1975, she played a key role in the founding of the talent agency, Creative Artists, and continued on in her career to co-produce numerous award-winning Broadway shows, including "Next Fall," "Journey's End," "Evita," "Big Fish" and "Monty Pythons Spamalot."

Haber is survived by her husband, Bill; sons, Mark and Quinn Haber; two grandchildren; and siblings, Margie and Jim. She was predeceased by her parents.

A private service will be held in January at a Broadway theater to celebrate her life.
