Bradley Anschutz, Of Westport, 93, World War 2 Navy Veteran

WESTPORT, Conn. -- Bradley S. Anschutz, husband of Hope (Robinson) Anschutz and longtime resident of Westport, died Friday, Jan. 23 in Norwalk Hospital. He was 93.

Anschutz was born June 10, 1921 in Ansonia, Conn. and was the son of Edward and Dorothy (Steele) Anschutz. He was a World War II Navy veteran. He was a 1950 graduate of Yale. He worked for the town of Westport for 16 years as a purchasing officer. He was very active in the town of Westport, as he was a member of the Saugatuck River Power Squadron, the Westport Y's Men, the Westport Kiwanis Club and Saugatuck Congregational Church. 

Survivors include three sons, Edward B. Anschutz II and his wife Cindy; Steven B. Anschutz and his wife Alice; Bruce R. Anschutz and his wife Linda; three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Hope, Anschutz was predeceased by one sister.

A memorial service for Anschutz will be held at the Saugatuck Congregational Church 245 Post Road E., Westport on Thursday, Feb. 5 at 11 a.m. The Harding Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
