Barbara Secrist, 63, Former Westport Paralegal

Barbara Meyers Secrist

WESTPORT, Conn. – Barbara Meyers Secrist, a former Westport resident, died Friday, Sept. 7 at Redding Hospital and Medical Center in Redding, Pa. She was 63. 

Secrist worked as a paralegal for the Town of Westport attorney for many years. 

She was born in Pottsville, Pa., to Harold and Ann Fatula Harris. Secrist also served on the Representative Town Meeting from 1989 to 1993. She was married to Edward Secrist, who survives her. 

Secrist is also survived by a daughter, Deborah (Jon) Auriemme; three sons, Frank (Amanda) Culmone, Christopher Culmone and Robert (Andrea) Meyers; three sisters, Pat Harris, Donna (Angelo) Iafrate and Joan (Bob) Mest; five brothers, Robert (Linda) Harris, Bruce “Jim” Harris, Peter (Nancy) Harris; Thomas Harris and Jerome (Bobbi) Harris; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A sister, Arlene, predeceased her. 

Visitation is from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Harding Funeral Home in Westport, with a memorial service starting at 3 p.m.
