WESTPORT, Conn. -- Agnes (Pan) Catherine Stofan, 97, of Westport, wife of the late John R. Stofan Jr. passed away Friday, July 10 at the Jewish Home for Senior Services.
Stofan was born Sept. 14, 1917, at home in Westport. She was one of five children. A lifelong resident of Westport, she attended the Bedford Elementary and Junior High Schools.
Stofan was an accomplished seamstress, gardener and had a great love of flowers and the wildlife that thrived on her property. She was an avid sports fan and always attended her son's and grandson's games.
Survivors include one son, John (Jack) R. Stofan III and his wife Pam of Westport, her grandson John R. Stofan IV, his wife Christine and stepdaughter Kelly of Deer Park, Ill., one niece and several nephews.
Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Thursday at Assumption Church, 98 Riverside Ave., Westport. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery, Greens Farms.
