Breaking News: ID Released For Man Found Dead At Naugatuck State Forest

Agnes Humphreys, 96, Lifelong Westport Resident

WESTPORT, Conn. - Agnes “Peg” (Switter) Humphreys, a lifelong resident of Westport, died Sunday, Sept. 8. She was 96.

Humphreys was born In 1917 to Michael and Edith Switter. She was an associate for many years with the Fairfield Store.

Humphreys is survived by her sister, Jo Gentile of Fairfield; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by husband, Richard T. Humphreys; brothers, Ignace, John, Stephen and Joseph Switter; and sisters, Anielia Zepko, Helen Roberts and Ann Bratusky.

Calling hours are 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home , 50 Reef Road, in Fairfield Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, at St. Luke Church in Westport.  Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
