WESTPORT, Conn. A Westport resident and four other youths, including one juvenile, were arrested and charged with burglarizing an apartment on Westport's Saugatuck Avenue, police said.
Police said they were called to the apartment Sunday morning after the property owner found four young men sleeping inside the apartment. Lucas Calloway of Fairfield, Jeffrey Allen of Norwalk, Thomas Bartlett of Norwalk and the unnamed juvenile did not have permission to be in the apartment, police said. The property owner reported the apartment door was unlocked when he arrived.
According to the police report, it appeared as if the youths had a party in the apartment, as several empty bottles of liquor and beer cans were found inside. As a result of the investigation, Natasha Kuranko, of Saugatuck Avenue, also was arrested.
Kuranko, 18, was charged with third-degree burglary. Calloway, 18, and Allen, 19, were charged with third-degree burglary and possession of alcohol by a minor. Bartlett, 21, was charged with third-degree burglary and permitting possession of alcohol by a minor.
All parties were released after each posted $1,000 bond and they are due in Norwalk Superior Court April 4.
