WESTPORT, Conn. A 65-year-old Easton woman faces theft and trespassing charges in Westport after she was pulled over by police in Fairfield on Saturday morning, police said.
Sheila Lynch was turned over to Westport police after a computer search of her name revealed there was a warrant out for her arrest. Police said the warrant stems from a May 28 incident in which she reportedly stole two packages of paper, valued at $20, from 278 Post Road E. Lynch was reportedly not welcome at the property and had been previously warned not to return there, police said.
Lynch was charged with first-degree criminal trespass and sixth-degree larceny. She was released after posting $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court July 19.
