WILTON, Conn. – Wilton snack company LesserEvil took home first prize against 200 other food companies in a statewide competition.

In the competition, held at the Aqua Turf in Plantsville on March 8, a total of 21 judges scored products in 36 categories to determine the best food and wine across the state. LesserEvil’s Classic Kettlecorn took first place in the gluten-free category.

“It’s a huge honor for us to be recognized alongside similar brands and people from our home state who share our values and passion for creating delicious, healthy and innovative products,” says Charles Coristine, CEO of LesserEvil.

“Sharing good food with good people is what we live for at LesserEvil, so when our products are awarded, not only for their nutritious value but because they taste good, too, it’s very exciting.”

The Classic Kettlecorn was the company’s first product. It is produced free of trans fats, preservatives, artificial flavors and colors, high fructose syrup and gluten ingredients.
