EASTON, Conn. A baby-and-toddler movement and music class, a talk on the Allergy Epidemic and a Vital Fire Safety program are just some of the events happening in and around Easton this week.
Monday, March 12
4 p.m.: Children in grades 6 and up are invited to attend the Tween Book Club at the Easton Public Library to discuss the book, The Giver, by Lois Lowery. The club will meet in the community room, 391 Morehouse Road.
5:15 p.m.: The Easton Police Commission meets in the community room of the Easton Public Library , 391 Morehouse Road.
7 p.m.: The Easton Planning and Zoning Commission meets in the conference room at Town Hall , 225 Center Road.
7 p.m.: The Westport Country Playhouse presents a reading of Simon Gray's play, Stage Struck. Tickets are $15. 25 Powers Court, Westport.
Tuesday, March 13
10:30 a.m.: Parents can get their young toddlers moving at the Easton Public Library s Baby/Toddler Music and Movement class. This 25-minute class is open to children ages 6 to 36 months and incorporates popular children songs, finger plays and simple stories while using props such as puppets, musical instruments and rhythm sticks. 361 Morehouse Road, registration is not required.
12 to 1 p.m.: Hugh A. Sampson, M.D., of Mount Sinai School of Medicine, will discuss The Food Allergy Epidemic today at Greenwichs Bruce Museum . For information call 203-869-0376.

12 to 1:30 p.m.: Professional organizer, Larry Russick, will be at the Weston Public Library to talk about living a clutter-free life. You can bring your lunch. In the community room, 56 Norfield Road.
Thursday, March 15
7 p.m.: Adults are invited to join the Easton Book Club to discuss Robin Oliveiras My Name is Mary Sutters at the Easton Public Library, 691 Morehouse Road.
