Vera N. Hahn, a retired Time Inc. executive assistant, died Jan. 5. Hahn, a 42-year Westport resident, was 82.
Born on Dec. 1, 1928, in Bronxville, N.Y., Hahn was the wife of the late Harold C. Hahn Jr. She was a graduate of Katharine Gibbs School in New York.
Hahn was a member of the Junior Women's League and a longtime volunteer at the Pequot Library in Southport. She enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and spending time with her six grandchildren.
In addition to her grandchildren, Hahn is survived by a son, Harold C. Hahn III of Old Saybrook; two daughters, Alison H. Morgan and her husband Reed of Easton, N.H., and Amy H. Reilly and her husband Brian of Southbury; a sister, Elaine Carter of Fairfield; and four nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, Jan. 11, from 10 a.m. until the funeral service begins at 11 a.m. at Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 S. Benson Road, Fairfield. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
