Westport's Stephen Chacho, Loved to Cook

Lifelong Westport resident Stephen Patrick Chacho, a 1982 graduate of Staples High School who loved to cook, died Jan. 27 at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport. He was 46.

Husband of Angela Chacho, he was born March 1, 1964, in Norwalk. During his youth and throughout high school, Chacho was an avid athlete involved in many sports, including wrestling, soccer and track. He also attended Sacred Heart University.

Chacho had a passion for good food and was a creative cook. He spent most of his career working in the restaurant industry.

In addition to his wife, Chacho is survived by his parents, John J. and Lucille Chacho; sister Susan Chacho; two stepchildren, Abbey-Lynn Albani and Joseph Albani; his in-laws, Mary Abraham and Louis Mennillo; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Feb. 1, at 11 a.m. at Assumption Church, 98 Riverside Ave. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Harding Funeral Home, 210 Post Road E.
