WESTPORT, Conn. For those who still don't have power in Westport following Saturday's historic nor'easter, there's good and bad news. The good news is Connecticut Light & Power estimates 99 percent power restoration in Westport by 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4. The bad news is that could mean up to three more days without power and heat.
"We know that what our customers want most is information about when their power will be restored," said CL&P President and Chief Operating Officer Jeff Butler in a statement.
More than 770 line and tree crews are at work across the state, Butler said. Although a representative in the CL&P communications department said town-specific crew information wasn't available, the town reports that three CL&P crews were working in Westport Tuesday.
As of 1:30 p.m., CL&P reported 1,476 outages in Westport, which is roughly 11 percent of the town.
