Westporter Charged With Throwing Cup at Girlfriend

WESTPORT, Conn. — A night out at Westport's Longshore Club Park ended with the arrest of resident Brandon Dempsky after a domestic dispute, police said.

Dempsky, of 105 Saugatuck Ave., got into an argument with his girlfriend while at Longshore on Saturday night. During the argument, police said Dempsky threw a cup at his girlfriend, hitting her in the back. Dempsky, 39, was charged with disorderly conduct. He was released on a promise to appear in court Monday.

• Christopher Dohme, of 20 Maplewood Ave., turned himself in to Westport police early Friday on an arrest warrant. Police said the warrant stemmed from a March 3 larceny in which Dohme, 23, allegedly stole sterling silver silverware from a Bonnie Brook residence. The investigation revealed that Dohme pawned the silverware to a precious metals dealer March 7. The stolen silverware had a reported value of $3,725.04. Dohme was held on $20,000 bond and charged with third-degree larceny.
