Westport resident Eileen Woodley of 11 Hockanum Road received a home visit from police late Saturday morning after officers received a complaint that she had fled the scene of an accident.
According to police reports, Woodley, 47, was involved in a hit-and-run accident on the Sherwood Island Connector. Police were able to catch up with her because the driver of the other vehicle took down her license plate number.
The officer noticed that Woodleys eyes were bloodshot and that she was somewhat off balance. Woodley refused breath tests but failed field sobriety tests. She was charged with operating under the influence and evading responsibility. She is due in court on Jan. 25.
