Michael Lahiff, a 21-year-old Fairfield resident, was stopped Thursday night in Westport for a traffic violation. A computer check revealed there was a warrant for Lahiff's arrest. Police said the warrant stems from an infraction Lahiff allegedly failed to respond to. Court records show the infraction possession of alcohol by a minor was issued by Weston police in 2009. Lahiff was charged with failure to pay or plead and was released after posting $200 bond. He is due in court May 23.
