Ada Eads , the 84-year-old Westport woman whose body was found in her driveway last week, died from hypothermia, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner announced Monday.
Eads was found at the end of her High Point Road home driveway Thursday at about 8 a.m. by a garbage man. An autopsy found that pre-existing health conditions further complicated her exposure to the cold weather.
In December, the body of Westport resident Cindy D'Aiuto , 48, was found in the snow in the rear parking lot of 166 Kings Highway N. by a newspaper carrier. Her death was also the result of hypothermia after she reportedly tried climbing a snow bank while walking to a friend's house.
