WESTPORT, Conn. – The ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for Wednesday afternoon at the eastbound station house of the Westport Train Station has been postponed, Westport First Selectman Gordon Joseloff announced.
The ceremony will be rescheduled for mid-January, Joseloff said. An exact date has yet to be determined.
The ribbon cutting will celebrate the installation of the solar panels on the roof of the eastbound station house. The solar panels will power the station house, platform lights and up to 20 electric car charging stations in the parking lot.
