Westport To Address Flooding At Hazard-Mitigation Meeting

WESTPORT, Conn. -- The Westport Fire Department will be hosting an informational meeting on Sept. 9 at 6 p.m. for residents who have been affected by severe flooding.

Homeowners who have questions about repetitive loss or are interested in applying for a Hazard Mitigation Grant should attend.

The meeting will be in the auditorium at Westport Town Hall, 110 Myrtle Ave., according to Fire Chief Andrew Kingsbury, the town's emergency management director.

Gemma Fabris, the deputy state hazard mitigation officer from Connecticut’s Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security, will attend.

Anyone unable to attend is encouraged to call Michele Onofrio at 203-341-5024 after Monday’s meeting for information.
