WESTPORT, Conn. – The Bridge Street bridge over the Saugatuck River in Westport will be closed part of the day Wednesday for continuing repair work, First Selectman Gordon Joseloff announced.
The swing bridge, known formally as the William F. Cribari Bridge, will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Joseloff said.
Repairs are being made to the mechanical and electrical components of the bridge, which was damaged during Hurricane Sandy.
The work, being done by Cianbro Construction Co., is expected to be completed next month, Joseloff said.
Detour signs will be posted during the closing.
