WESTPORT, Conn. -- Westport First Selectman Jim Marpe is encouraging residents to voluntarily conserve water and stop non-essential outdoor water use.
In spite of the rainfall last week, Connecticut continues to experience conditions ranging from “abnormally dry” to “moderate drought.”
Marpe said: “I urge Westport residents to consider the advice and recommendations as outlined in Aquarion Water Co.’s notification. As a community, it is important that we all do our share to encourage a healthy environment and to conserve our natural resources.”
