WESTPORT, Conn. – The Planning and Zoning Commission is scheduled this week to review a proposed amendment to Westport’s zoning regulations.
Proposed Amendment No. 681 would allow the area of exemption around septic fields to be 25 feet, P&Z Director Laurence Bradley said in a news release.
The current regulation calls for five feet, which is not in compliance with the State Health Code.
A public hearing on the amendment will be held Thursday, Nov. 6, at 7 p.m., in the Westport Town Hall auditorium.
Written comments will also be accepted in advance of the hearing.
