WESTPORT, Conn. After changing Westport's power restoration estimate twice Tuesday, Connecticut Light & Power is again predicting 99 percent of the town will be back on the grid by Friday, Nov. 4, at 6 p.m.
As of 11:30 a.m., CL&P reported 1,278 outages in Westport, which is roughly 10 percent of town.
"We continue to ask for and receive help from out-of-state crews and contractors as our crew counts grow daily," CL&P President and Chief Operating Officer Jeff Butler said in a statement. "We understand how frustrating it is to be without power and are working as quickly and safely as possible."
Butler said over 1,040 line and tree crews are working across the state Wednesday, with over 550 support crews are helping speed up the restoration.
