WESTPORT, Conn. A Westport police cruiser was involved in a two-car crash Wednesday morning at Post Road East and Myrtle Avenue, police say.
Both cars were heavily damaged, but neither the officer nor the driver of the other car was injured. A preliminary investigation shows that the officer's actions were a "major contributor" to the accident, Capt. Sam Arciola said in a statement. The accident is still under investigation by the department.
In May, a police crusie was involved in an accident at the same location .
