Westport resident Cody Ropiak, 19, was arrested on weapons and drug charges following a fight in the park on Riverside Avenue Sunday night.
Officers heard a disturbance in the park and found Ropiak, of 436 Riverside Ave., fighting with two other men, Kerny Saint-Vilien, 19, of Bridgeport and Joshua Tucker, 20, of Westport, according to police.
Officers found a small zip-lock baggie filled marijuana by Ropiaks feet, police said. A bag of marijuana was found on Saint-Vilien, and a black BB gun was found in the area where the three were fighting, police said. They said Ropiak had brought the BB gun to the park.
Ropiak was charged with carrying and sale of dangerous weapons, threatening, breach of peace, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $1,500 and he is due in court on May 18.
Saint-Vilien was charged with possession of a controlled substance and creating a public disturbance. His bail was set at $500 and he's scheduled to appear in court on May 18.
Tucker, of 10 West End Ave., received an infraction ticket for creating a public disturbance.
