Hackers are usually the culprits with credit card fraud, not mothers. But on Tuesday afternoon, Westport resident Judy Meier of 11 Hales Court turned herself in to Westport police for just that.
According to police reports, Meier, 55, was wanted on a warrant for allegedly activating and using a credit card in her son's name in November. The son, police said, no longer lives with her. Meier was charged with illegal use of a credit card and credit card theft. She is due in court Dec. 17.
Also from the police blotter:
Westport residents Augustus Pappajohn of 31 Orchard Hill Road and Jessica Ryan of 22 Vani Court were arrested Monday night for allegedly getting physical during a domestic dispute. Both Pappajohn, 49, and Ryan, 33, were charged with disorderly conduct. The battling boyfriend and girlfriend were scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
