? Westport resident James Comey, 52, was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on Monday to become the next director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He will replace Robert Mueller, who is stepping down in September after 12 years as director.
? The family of a 15-year-old Westport girl filed a lawsuit Monday after she was kicked out of a sleep-away camp for kissing a boy. The family withdrew the lawsuit on Tuesday.
? A 12-year-old boy from Weston was killed Monday in Wilton after his bicycle crasshed on Cedar Road . The boy, identified as Joseph "A.J." Cina was not wearing a helmet.
? After winning its first state championship last weekend, the Westport Little League All-Stars team competed in the New England Regional in Bristol.
? The new Westport Weston Family Y facility under construction at the Y's Mahackeno campus was "topped off" Wednesday with a 20-foot steel beam. The beam, signed by Y officials, staff, members, donors and the construction team, was the last major piece of steel that needed to be installed.
