Westport resident Edward Petrocelli of 62 Saugatuck Ave. caught police attention early Monday while driving too slow along Treadwell Avenue. But that's not all: Police reportedly also saw Petrocelli, 25, cross the double yellow centerline, twice.
When Petrocelli was stopped, the officer smelled alcohol on his breath. He refused breath tests but failed field sobriety tests and was charged with operating under the influence, failure to drive right and improper rear/marker lamps. He is due in court Dec. 28.
Also from the police blotter:
Westport resident Kyle Donovan of 11 Primrose Lane turned himself in to Westport police Monday night, having learned there was a warrant for his arrest. The warrant, according to police, stems from a November arrest in which Donovan, 27, received multiple motor vehicle charges. He allegedly failed to appear in court on those charges. He is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 30.
