There was room at the inn, but Westport resident Robert Savino allegedly didn't pay to stay. According to police reports, Savino, whose last known address is 39 Hogan Trail, booked a room at the Westport Inn on Saturday night. But the credit card he used to pay was declined.
Savino, 37, was reportedly contacted by management to make proper arrangements to pay for his room but never responded. When police arrived on the complaint, Savino allegedly locked himself in the room and didn't respond to police. Officers entered Savino's room from an adjacent room and took him in to custody. He was charged with sixth-degree larceny and first-degree criminal larceny. He is due in court Dec. 21.

Westport resident Daniel Jerome of 111 Wilton Road was arrested Saturday night after a reported domestic dispute with his son, police said. Jerome, 47, and his son allegedly were arguing and it escalated into a fight. Jerome and his son, a juvenile, each were charged with disorderly conduct. Jerome was scheduled to appear in court Monday.
