WESTPORT, Conn. A baby deer trapped in a fence at a Westport home is now free and unharmed thanks to members of the Westport Fire Department.
At 8:23 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters were called to 13 Elizabeth Drive on a report that a fawn was stuck between the post of a chain link fence and the swing door. Firefighters used hand tools to disassemble the gate. The fawn ran off after the gate was loosened, Assistant Fire Chief Larry Conklin reported.
