Westport Dad Charged in Laptop Tossing Incident

An argument between Westport resident Peter Greco and his son got out of hand Saturday night when the Lees Lane resident threw his son's laptop out a second-floor window, police reported. Greco, 53, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief and released on a promise to appear. He was given an April 18 court date.

Also from the police blotter:

• Hamden resident Kenneth Palmieri was arrested in Westport on April 11 when his license was found to be under suspension during a routine traffic stop. A search of his car also turned up a crack pipe, police said. Palmieri, 44, was charged with operating under suspension and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is scheduled to appear in court April 25.

• Milford resident Jordan Berkowitz, 22, was pulled over in Westport on Friday night when a computer check revealed the car he was driving had a suspended registration. Police said he gave the officer his brother's name. It was later learned that Berkowitz did not have a valid driver's license, police said. The car's registration was suspended because of lack of insurance. Berkowitz was charged with operating with a suspended registration, insurance coverage below minimums, operating without a license and criminal impersonation. He is due in court April 25.
