WESTPORT, Conn. Three people were hospitalized Tuesday morning following a two-car crash on I-95 southbound in Westport.
Westport firefighters, EMS and state police were called to the accident, which happened around 7:30 a.m. between exits 18 and 17. The three people involved in the crash complained of minor neck and back pain. They were taken to the hospital by Westport EMS, Assistant Fire Chief William Dingee reported.
Firefighters cleared debris from the roadway and cleaned up fluids spilled during the crash. Two lanes of I-95 were closed during the incident, causing heavy traffic on the highway and, subsequently, Route 1. The accident was cleared around 8:15 a.m.
