Westport Charges Woman Again in Prescription Case

WESTPORT, Conn. – A Fairfield woman was arrested by Westport police on a warrant charging her with failure to appear on charges that she used a forged prescription in 2010, police said.

Tracy Carbone, 49, is accused of trying to purchase oxycodone pills with a fake prescription at Walgreens in November 2010, police said. She was stopped Tuesday by Fairfield police for a motor vehicle violation and was taken to Westport police on the outstanding warrant.

In addition to failure to appear, Carbone was charged with criminal attempt at possession of a controlled substance. She was released after posting a $5,000 bond and is due in court on Friday, April 20.
