Weston's Weinstein Explains Bid for Re-Election

WESTON, Conn. – Gayle Weinstein said she wants to continue as Weston’s first selectman so she can see through the projects that have been started in her term and “bring Weston into the future.”

“I feel like we’ve really made a lot of progress in tackling tough issues, and I feel like there’s so much more we can do,” said Weinstein, who referenced charter review and the Lachat property.

She said she has been successful in completing projects such as Revson Field, which will be done by November, getting departments online and “creating an efficient government.”

Weinstein says she is a good fit for Weston because she “listens to what’s important to the people of Weston” and she “truly cares.”

“I strive to make a difference in people’s lives. I never forget that the policy decisions I make affect each and every one of us as individuals,” said Weinstein.

The Democratic Town Committee will meet Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the Town Hall Meeting Room to nominate its candidates for the November election.
